Transitional housing project (bandelier project)
Just over two years ago, Joy Junction was given half of the old
Bandelier Motel. That's about 9 thousand square feet of buildings comprising 26 kitchenettes
units complete with furnishings and linens. The units will be used for transitional housing –
something that's desperately needed in Albuquerque – and people staying on a longer term basis
at Joy Junction will be moved over to these buildings, freeing up more emergency housing at
Joy Junction's main facilities.
We have kept an archive of articles that tell about the progression of the project from start to finish.
